Other Vaccinations
Derbyshire Medical Ltd can supply and administer a comprehensive number of travel and occupational vaccinations. Requirements for different countries vary from time to time therefore we ask that you telephone us with details of your travel arrangements so that we can tailor a vaccination programme to your individual needs. We can also supply the appropriate anti-malarial tablets, if indicated.
A list of some of the vaccinations that we offer, with an indication of the time scale to complete the course follows:

Flu Single dose required each year, available from end Sept. (please enquire for children, as the regime is slightly different).
Hepatitis A single dose required, immunity lasts 1 year .A booster dose given at 6-12 months after primary dose will increase immunity beyond 10 years.
Hepatitis B course consists of three doses with or without a fourth booster dose. Time scale to complete the course is variable. Ideally given at 0, 1 and 6 months intervals but accelerated courses are available over 0, 1 and 2 month intervals with a booster at 12 months.
Japanese Encephalitis three doses required at 0, 7-14 days and 28-30 days .Full immunity takes up to a month to develop
Polio (only given as a combined vaccine, usually with tetanus and diptheria).
Rabies course consists of three doses given at 0, 7 and 21-28 day intervals.
Typhoid single dose recommended for adults and children over 18months old. Effect lasts for about 3 years. maximum immunity takes up to a month to develop.
